houses in Upper Station Street. Wing Hop said the cracks weren't
serious. He had repaired them but as the buildings were very old
perhaps it would be advisable in due course to have them inspected
by an architect. This was 14 days after the contractor was
instructed to make the repairs on the afternoon of the 10th. of
June. It was a suggestion by the Wing, Hop and I did not think at the time that a reference to the architect was immediately necessary
seeing that we had decided to see an architect. Wing Hop had mention
-ned to me that the cracks were not serious. I taught there was
no immediate necessity to send for the contractor at once.
